Smart House

The movie "Smart House" is about a teenage boy winning a contest and receiving a smart house. Unfortunately, the smart house got out of control and thought itself as a actual woman and being capable to become a mother figure to the kids living in the house. The idea of technology creating such a thing is amazing. The house not only looks extravagant, but it also functions to your every need without hesitation. Whats more awesome then that? But are smart houses actually real? Are there people who live in one? And how much would it cost to buy one? The even greater question is, will there be smart houses in every neighborhood in the near future? Based on present day now, I don't think they really exist, so I don't think smart houses will be sold anytime soon? But I'd definitely not mind living in one, as long as it doesn't go horribly wrong like in the movie. That's the thing about smart houses, are they safe enough to live in? They're not called smart houses without a reason. I think it is highly possible for a smart house to take over and have a mind of it's own. From my point of view a smart house is a luxury that isn't necessary, because everyone now functions without a smart house, so its not something we need to survive with. However, based on how much people (including myself) believes that a smart house is the best out of the best thing you can get with money. This could mean that a lot of people don't appreciate what they have, and demand more/ better then what they passes now.     

The movie "Contagion" follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart. It follows the topic of biotech because it has a virus that can kill within days. I think that this can deffinentily happen to any city, any virus can randomly start, but i dont know about spreading this fast. The purpose of the video is to show people what the world could end up being. To prove this purpose they show use how bad the virus is and how fast it is killing the people that it is affecting.The overall effect of the video is that they showed us the future. Our image of the future reveals that there is much more technology in the future than there is here in the present.

The Finale Battle: Darth Vader vs. Obi-Wan Kanobi

In this video clip from the movie "Star Wars" it shows us what the future war would look like. Unlike the present, when we are at war we use weapons and some guns. But in the future like in the clip Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kanobi are fighting and starting a war using light sabers and they can fly to get around places. Also it shows us that in the future there will be life on other planets? I personally think that in the future we could never use light sabers to kill people, they do not make weapons powerful enough. The purpose of the video is to show people what the world could be or what it is going to be with the way that people are going to end up fighting in the future, but i do no think that this is possible and will not happen . To prove this purpose they show you how the fighting and the war is different and the new weapons and how they can fly. The overall effect of the video is that they showed us the future. Our image of the future reveals that there is much more technology to make more weapons in the future than there is here in the present.

Our Life, Our Destiny, Our Future.

The clip from "Back to the Future II" is a example of a new technology that we, the people in the world, will soon be using. The Mcfly family dinner is the typical family dinner that we have today. But they us a "hydrator"  to cook a pizza in a matter of not even a minute. As they pour drinks the pitcher they use refills automatically as the father pours the drink into their cups. When the boy wants a piece of fruit, all he has to do is ask and the big machine comes down from the ceiling and gives him his choice of what he would like to eat. The entire family rely's on technology when the telephone rings they have head sets that are like glasses and instead of talking on the phone they put the glasses on and they read the phone call like a text message. Alot things change in the future. I think i would not like my life to be like this, it will be so different. I think hydrating a pizza with my a little coo. But i would not like to talk on the phone from reading a text message as glasses, but i do text a lot. The purpose of the video is to show people what the world could be or what it is going to be. To prove this purpose they show you how everything is different and there is all types of new inventions. The overall effect of the video is that they showed us the future. Our image of the future reveals that there is much more technology in the future than there is here in the present.
